Belarus, an Eastern European country, wants to become a new hub for digital and crypto industry.
Many countries have already heard about Switzerland’s small blockchain paradise town, Zug. Leading the future’s technology revolution is not only economically and financially beneficial for the country but also gives the country political superiority. For this exact reason, countries like Malta have rolled out the “red carpet” to blockchain and startup companies. Entering the crypto and blockchain sector’s ‘friendly countries’ list, Belarus was an unexpected name.
Belarus is known for being a snow paradise and Eastern European country. Alexander Lukashenko is the nation’s President since 1994 and rules his country with a policy of strict governance. Lukashenko manages to keep alive the government institutions from the SSCB period.
Acknowledging the importance of the cryptocurrency and blockchain sector, especially in last 3 months, Belarus has tried very hard to get startup companies attention. Additionally, Belarus has inquired help from South Korea’s expertise in the last couple days on the matter of blockchain.
