HO CHI MINH — The largest blockchain conference organised in Vietnam concluded on Friday, in Ho Chi Minh City.
Blockchain Festival Vietnam drew over 30 speakers and 1,000 attendees over the past two days.
Among the speakers were some of the industry’s top thought leaders, including Jeffrey Wernick, one of the first people ever to own Bitcoin in 2009; Dr. Loi Luu, the co-founder and CEO of KyberNetwork; Hubery Yuan, dean of Huobi Academy; and Dr. David Nguyen, President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce Singapore.
Topics discussed in the international conference included technical developments and latest industry trends, all of which were presented in both English and Vietnamese.
Besides presentations and discussion panels, the conference also featured whole-day-long exhibitions during the two days, where blockchain projects share about themselves to the attendees.
Attendees are encouraged to visit the exhibition booths with a passport mini-game, in which they collect stamps on their conference passport. After completing the passport, they stand to win up to USD50,000 worth of tokens.
Students and professors from various fields were sponsored to attend the event for free. Many blockchain projects were hiring on the spot.
