IBM obtained two system patents for verifying the integrity of the blockchain, proving that it has passed certain audit requirements in a certain period of time. According to IBM, the first patent explained the exact composition of checkpoints and checkpoints. The requirement is that all nodes performing validation agree on the blockchain’s effectiveness at the time of the snapshot. The second patent is based on the first patent and also describes how the checkpoints are audited. Since the checkpoint has been certified, IBM has a new process that is dedicated to reviewing the checkpoint. The company can then reference the certification checkpoint and make adjustments based on the data in the blockchain.
