Cointext, a mobile SMS service for cryptocurrency transaction, has brought up its assistance for its Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Wallet to Hong Kong and Middle East countries. The founder and lead developer, Vin Armani, said that those selected countries are important as financial centres and Cointext provides them a simple alternative to physical cash.
Cointext users access their wallets by sending SMS commands such as BALANCE, RECEIVE and SEND to local reachable numbers. A new wallet is immediately set up when a recipient gets a message via the service. Residents in the new countries receive a Cointext wallet by a text with “Start” to their individual numbers (Hong Kong: 85257456744; Israel: 972526230418).
Cointext has introduced to the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands and the U.K. 2018 March. It contains full-featured wallet where apps, accounts, passwords or access to the Internet are unnecessary. The service runs with on-ramp to the cryptocurrency ecosystem for anyone who has a phone with SMS function. Furthermore, Cointext has approached to the European countries earlier this month. On October 1, the company stated that people can utilize the app to send BCH via SMS in Germany, France, Austria, Portugal, Estonia and Czech Republic.
Both Hong Kong and Israel versions have defaulted messaging in English but Hebrew and Chinese are available. With the current expansion to East Asia and in the Middle East, Cointext will now provide total of fifteen language supports.
