An unexpected number of candidates has been attracted by the announcement of The Crypto Valley Association (CVA) in Switzerland. 43 nominees are looking forward to fill the two available positions of female board members. The CVA is helding an election to diversify its current male-dominated board scheduling a vote on September 20. The chosen ones will be stepping into the board with similar tasks as the current members; participating in the working groups as co-chairpersons, as well as interacting with other associations and authorities in Switzerland and all around the world.
In the interview with Swissinfo, the member of CVA’s diversity taskforce, Leeanne Abapo Senn stated:
“We want to create a space that works for everyone rather than just carry on with the same old boys’ club and their cronies. Our objective is to elevate the dynamic women who have contributed to the Crypto Valley and to create a stronger, more inclusive ecosystem.”
The Swiss Crypto Valley Association is founded in January 2017, based in the city of Zug, Switzerland. It is a non-profit association established to build one of the world’s leading ecosystem based in blockchain and cryptographic technologies. CVA is aiming to support startups and other companies with the development of blockchain, crypto and and other distributed ledger technologies both locally and worldwide. The organization has currently over 1000 members.
